How to check for head lice removal

The head lice are the wingless insects which can be seen with the naked eye. Their length is about 2-3 millimeter, and hey are black or brown in color. Their eggs which are commonly known as nits are often being mistaken by the dandruff. The nits are strongly attached to the hair with a waterproof substance. They are normally be known in three forms; nits, young lice and adult lice.

Head lice are highly infectious and they can be transferred from person to person easily.  The most common symptoms of a lice infestation includes the itching and scalp bothersome. When an adult louse crawls around the scalp, an infested person can feel the tickling sensation over its head. You can check your hair for head lice by yourself as well by a simple procedure.
Moreover, if you are infested by the head lice during checking you are more likely to be seen nits other than live lice. While checking for the head lice you will need to follow the below mentioned instructions.

Sit under the light or position your hair where they can directly facing the light. The sunlight is the best option, sit somewhere near the window under the direct sunlight. Do not sit when the fans are on. Slow down the fan or you could turn it off completely. Always start from the nape of the neck, by parting the hair carefully.

Always starts with the roots of the hair, if you have found some yellow, brown or tan dots, they are the nits. If there is something looking like a dandruff, they are the shells of the hatched nit eggs. Now look for the nymphs and adult lice, they normally look like smaller spots which are grayish white or tan in color.

Now you need to move up the head while parting the hair into smaller sections, and check for lice and nits. Behind the ears you can find most of the head louse. You need to be more consistent about checking your head for lice, if you find yourself in contact with an infested person every day.

While checking your head for head lice removal, you will be needing a rat tail comb which is often used as the checking for head lice. You will be needing a magnifying glass as well for the examine the head more closely.

Light is the most important tool for examining the head louse. You cannot see a head louse in dim light as they are tiny insects widely covered under your hair and really much attached to the scalp.

If the person is infested with a head louse in the family, for the head lice removal and prevention should be taken place while separating his/her towels, bed linens and clothes. Avoid using hates of the infested person. Lice do do not survive anywhere other than a human head. Nits and lice can also be killed in the hot water of at least 140 degree F.

Lice Comb; the best ever head lice treatment

Schools are going to re-open, and if you are parents then you must have encountered the head lice problems which is something children bring at home from school.  We all know that  head lice are the small critters which are parasitic in nature live by sucking the blood from the human scalp. Their eggs are usually called nits and they are attached to the human hair. In order to detect whether your child is having a head lice or not then you need to examine their head closely under the light. Scratching is not the only sign to detect whether your child is having a head lice or not. If you cannot find any crawling lice in the head but only the nits are there, then it is the clearest sign of infestation of the head lice because the nits are going to hatch in less than a week.

The head lice are usually spread from direct head to head contact, which in result make the lice to come in contact with the other person’s head. Children often contact their head or sit closely while playing and studying which makes it even more favorable for the head lice to shift from one head to another. There's no other way of getting infested because the lice cannot fly or hop as well. The other misconception of spreading a head lice is by clothing or furniture. The lice cannot survive elsewhere other than a human head. So if it happened that there is any lice on your clothes or carpet or anywhere it is not going to survive more than a day unless they could get a chance to crawl over some other person’s head. There is no risk of getting infested by the furniture or the carpet and there is a limited chance of getting infested by the house pet as well.

Itching is the most common and the obvious symptom of the head lice, it happens due to the bites which are being done by the lice in the head. It also results in severe allergies afterwards if the condition gets worse. After starting your head lice treatment, you will not be encountering any itching problems at all for the first several days.

The best treatment which is used for the head lice treatment is definitely the combing. It is time consuming as well but it is most effective for all. The treatment begins when you apply any greasy product in your hair either it’s a conditioner or the oil. It will cause the lice to move slower and it also causes suffocation for  their breathing. These products are easier to remove as they are very commonly use as well.

Many of the people think that using insecticide or the medicated shampoos are injurious to use but they are actually helpful if the condition of the infestation is getting worse. The medicated shampoos should not be used without the prescription of the doctor and read the label and the precautions before using it. Try not to use too much intense insecticides as it will cause the allergies.

Head lice are some of the phases that every parent can expect its child to face once in their life. Head lice is a part of life, you do not have to worry about it and there is nothing to get upset, this can be done with the help of your pharmacist by using some treatment techniques.

When you catch any of the head lice at any age, there is survey that the adult who gets infested with head lice is due to their children who are suffering through the head lice problem earlier.
Over-the-counter products are the best optimal option, in getting your head lice shift quicker. A survey showed that 59% of the people infested by the head lice have used over-the-counter products, where the head got cleaned against the lice in three days or less.

There is another survey who revealed that the treatment methods are classified according to their preferences, it depends on which treatment do you opt for in eliminating your head lice.
These treatment techniques depend on your personal choice as well as the condition of your child and its hair type as well. If you are still not sure about which product to be used for the head lice treatment then you can speak to your pharmacist any time you want to.

Combing is one of the most useful and old methods uses to eliminate the head lice. This is one of the cheapest nit and louse treatment available, the most easy to use. All you need to do is to apply the head by some conditioner which will provide a greasy effect for the head lice and loosen up the grip; this will help you in catching the louse just by running the comb in the hair. The louse remains much closer to the scalp than in hair, so make sure to comb your hair from roots to tips. After each stroke of the comb you took over the hair, check the comb if there are any lice caught in it and then clean it up before going to take another stroke. This treatment is a bit time consuming and it has to be consistent as well. If you are not regular about eliminating the head lice by using combing method you would not be able to get it done over a small period of time. A general rule is that you do not have to stop until you catch any grown up head lice for over three sessions.

There are battery operated combs are also available in the market which will kill the head lice once I get in contact with it and it can also be used on dry hair as well.

It has seen that many of the insecticide head lice removal products to kill head lice contain a combination of chemicals which can cause itching and allergy over the scalp. It can be dangerous for the scalp. Always read the label of the product before you use it, it would be appropriate if you get a prescription by the doctor.

Always use the insecticides head lice removal products which are non-lethal, they are easy to apply and resin as well.
